I read a great article at this site: http://macles.blogspot.com/search?updated-max=2008-08-13T05%3A39%3A00%2B02%3A00&max-results=12
It explains how you can reclaim some extra space on the Acer Aspire One by removing unnecessary files.
For example I’ve saved about 350 meg by removing extra language packs from Open Office.
Here’s how I did it:
- I opened the Terminal Window
- I typed(All One Sentence):
sudo yum remove openoffice.org-langpack-de openoffice.org-langpack-fr \
openoffice.org-langpack-it openoffice.org-langpack-es openoffice.org-langpack-ru \
openoffice.org-langpack-nl openoffice.org-langpack-pt_PT openoffice.org-langpack-ja_JP \
openoffice.org-langpack-zh_TW openoffice.org-langpack-zh_CN
And the task was completed.
