Applications on Mobile devices (AKA Apps) have really come into their own recently with the success of Smartphones and other mobile devices. Apple has it’s App Store, Android has a Market and even Jolicloud Linux has it’s App Directory. Apps have certainly developed into a big part of everyday life, with seemingly a useful app available for every task.
Here’s an interesting App that’s currently available on the iPhone, it’s called WeReward. Working a bit like the secret shopper concept it allows consumers to earn money by performing consumer orientated tasks in the real world.
With the App you can complete Sponsored Checkin’s by making purchases at local businesses such as restaurants, movie theaters, attractions and national retail chains, and simply by taking a picture of the experience and logging the experience through the app, you earn points!
Each point is worth a cent and when you earn 1,000 points ($10.00), you can cash out your points through PayPal.
There are over 15,000,000 businesses in WeReward, it’s worth checking whats availble in your area as there may be plenty of oppotunities nearby to earn points
In addition to points by sharing experiences you can Unlock badges and the App lets you share your experience through social networks such as Facebook, Twitter, and Foursquare.
More information can be found at WeReward.com or Download the App to give it a try. You may even discover something new in your area.

In this article I wrote about the direction that Mobile Internet is taking, and T-Mobile has launched a different option.
The T-Mobile Web and Walk Router provides access to the T-Mobile high speed Mobile Network to any WIFI enabled device by routing the Mobile data through a Wifi access point.
This brings a number of advantages over a traditional USB Mobile Broadband Dongle, in that a number of devices can share the same mobile signal, so that, for example a netbook could be used to browse the Internet whilst an IPod Touch could be downloading a song.
The maximum data speed available will vary depending on your location and the strength of the signal in that area, but as I sit typing this the speed of data seems pretty good, even fast enough to watch BBC Iplayer without buffering the video.
There is one limitation of the T-Mobile Web and Walk Router, it doesn’t have any built in battery and needs a power source, this reduces how portable the device is and if there was only a way to power the unit in a car then this would be a great unit to provide internet access in a car.
However if work in various locations with your Netbook that don’t have Wifi access then this unit would provide a great way to Internet Access, but if you need access without a fixed power supply then 3′s Mifi unit mat be a better option.
