Skype is a useful application for keeping in touch with your friends and family, by using voice & video conferencing over IP, or by calling phone numbers.

Skype works really well on the Acer Aspire One due the high quality of the built in Microphone, speakers & webcam, and is easy to install from the Skype Web Site.

To install Skype:

• Goto http://www.skype.com/go/getskype-linux-fc
• Make sure that the open with option is highlighted and click on ok.
• When the file is downloaded open it and let the installer run.
• You will now be able to run Skype from the advanced Menu.
